Mr. Juncadella has over 20 years experience in accounting and taxes. He worked six years for the Internal Revenue Service in Miami, Florida, first as an Internal Revenue Agent and later as an Appeals Officer. As an IRS agent, Mr. Juncadella was involved with the civil tax examinations of businesses and individuals. He also worked closely with the Criminal Investigation Division of the IRS in the investigation of individuals and businesses in cases involving unreported income and tax fraud resulting from drug trafficking and other criminal activities. As an IRS Appeals Officer, Mr. Juncadella was responsible for the settlement of complex IRS disputes resulting from unagreed cases at the examination level. Mr. Juncadella subsequently joined the Miami office of the international accounting firm of Price Waterhouse as a Tax Manager. As a tax manager, he was in charge of supervising the tax matters of a diversified group of local, national, and international clients. For the seven years prior to the formation of Colbert, Boue and Juncadella, P.A. in 1993, Mr. Juncadella was a Principal at Mallah Furman and Company, P.A. a major local accounting firm in Miami. He was in charge of the day to day operations of the firm's tax department. In addition, Mr. Juncadella was primarily responsible for the firm's IRS practice and client representations, international tax planning and compliance, and employee benefits. Mr. Juncadella has diversified experience in industries such as real estate, retailing and wholesale distribution, and professionals such as physicians and lawyers. His practice focuses on international and domestic tax planning and compliance for individuals and businesses. A large part of Mr. Juncadella's practice involves the accounting and auditing aspects of a wide range of clients, including the preparation of compiled, reviewed, and audited financial statements. Mr. Juncadella is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants Tax Division, Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Rotary Club of Miami West, and Coral Gables Chamber of Commerce.
